5 Signs He's a Keeper by Katy Black

As ladies, we typically ask these questions when it comes to dating someone:

1. is he hot?
2. is he funny?

There’s nothing wrong with wanting a guy who’s cute and funny, but what is most important?

God wants the very best for you and you should want the same. So, use these as a filter when dating and don’t just settle for anybody:

1. He loves Jesus and has a growing relationship with Him.

This is 100%, without a doubt, the most important. If you have to question whether he loves Jesus or not, he probably doesn’t. It should be evident that he loves Jesus through every word he speaks and every action he takes. He can only love you if he loves Jesus first.

2. He’s responsible.

He takes responsibility for his actions and doesn’t blame his mistakes on others.

3. He’s fun.

You love being around him. If even doing your homework together is fun, that’s a good sign.

4. He asks questions.

His favorite topic of discussion isn't himself. He asks questions and genuinely wants to know more about you and your story.

5. He makes an effort.

I’m not just talking about liking your Instagram pictures. It really doesn’t take much effort to double tap your picture. I’m talking about him actually pursuing you just as Jesus pursued you. He takes you out on dates and treats you with kindness and respect.

5 Signs She's a Keeper by Katy Black

As guys, we typically ask these two questions when it comes to dating someone:

1. is she hot?
2. is she crazy?

It’s good to date a girl who is attractive and sane, but what is most important?

God only wants the very best for you and you should want the same. So, use these as a filter when dating and don’t just settle for anybody:

1. Jesus is her number one priority.

Jesus is the foundation of her life and she reflects Him in everything she does. She is seeking Jesus first and foremost, and has a growing relationship with Him.

2. She talks positively about other people.

She doesn’t gossip and she doesn’t criticize. Instead of assuming the worst about people, she sees the best in them. Her words are always encouraging and they are always kind.

3. She’s selfless.

She is always seeking opportunities to serve others. She serves with the intention of bringing glory to God, not to herself.

4. She dresses attractively instead of to attract.

Is she dressing to make sure you see her curves, or is she dressing to make sure you see her character? There’s a big (and obvious) difference.

5. She believes for the future.

She believes that God is in control and doesn’t worry about the days to come. When it comes to her future, she has high hopes instead of high stress. #tooblessedtostress
